LOW – HIGH GAIN Overdrive / BOOST

  • Whether Blues, Rock, Funk, or Fusion, the LDP (OD/CB) is used worldwide by bass players who don’t want to replace their core tone, but refine and enhance it.
  • More punch, more control, more expression, without sacrificing low end.
  • For over 15 years, bass icons like Marcus Miller, Victor Wooten and Stanley Clarke and many others have trusted our bass pedals.

  •  LDP (OD/CB) – Low Down Pressure – The doppel pack
The LDP (OD/CB) is not a traditional bass overdrive pedal. It is a fully integrated low-end Drive and Boost system designed to add pressure, dynamics, and articulation while keeping the bottom end solid and defined. From clean enhancement to aggressive drive, the LDP maintains clarity, punch, and low-frequency integrity at all times.

FEATURES

  • The LDP (OD/CB) combines two fully independent sounds in one pedal: LOW / HIGH GAIN Overdrive, and BOOST
  • Each channel delivers its own distinct tonal character, switchable presets, and precise control: Level, Tone, and Drive for LOW / HIGH GAIN OD and Level and Tone for the BOOST channel.
  • The pedal features a specially developed mechanical True Bypass switching system with optimized noise suppression, delivering nearly pop-free switching, ideal for professional stage use.
  • Handcrafted in Germany, the LDP (OD/CB) Overdrive delivers maximum dynamics, tonal accuracy, and flexibility for musicians who demand uncompromising performance.
SOUNDS
  • Two Sounds. Full Control.
  • The LDP (OD/CB) combines two fully independent circuits in one compact enclosure: LOW / GAIN Overdrive and a powerful BOOST. Each section operates independently and can be used on its own or combined for maximum flexibility. The overdrive section covers everything from warm, tube-like saturation to focused, punchy drive with clear structure and definition. With the separate DEEP BOOST switch, the low end can be reinforced precisely, adding depth and pressure without becoming muddy.
  • Boost with character
The integrated BOOST delivers up to +20 dB of output level and is far more than a simple volume boost. It can be used as a transparent level boost, an active tone shaper, or an additional push into the amp’s input stage. The active tone control ranges from neutral to sweet and funky, making it ideal for modern bass sounds with presence, punch, and clarity.
  • Flexible, Compact, Stage-Ready
  • Despite its versatility, the LDP (OD/CB) remains intentionally clear and easy to operate. A small number of musically tuned controls allow fast, intuitive adjustment without distraction. The robust aluminum enclosure, mechanical True Bypass with minimal switching noise make the LDP (OD/CB) a reliable tool for both stage and studio use.
  • 18V Power Supply
  • Active basses often deliver a very high output level. In these cases, the LDP (OD/CB) can be operated safely at 18V. The increased operating voltage provides additional headroom and prevents unwanted distortion, even with hot pickups and highly dynamic playing.

FAQ

18V Power Supply
Active basses often deliver a very high output level. In these cases, the LDP (OD/CB) can be operated safely at 18V. The increased operating voltage provides additional headroom and prevents unwanted distortion, even with hot pickups and highly dynamic playing.

Power Supply Notice:
For noise-free operation, we recommend using a stabilized, well-shielded power supply. Some digital power supplies, especially those with insufficient shielding, may cause hum or high-pitched noise.

When using a multi-output power supply, the outputs should be galvanically isolated from each other.

Any noise issues do not originate from the pedal itself, but are usually caused by an unsuitable power supply or an unfavorable device combination. It is possible that a power supply works perfectly with one pedal but produces noise with another.

If noise occurs, we recommend the following test:
Connect the pedal directly to the amplifier, do not connect a guitar, and power the pedal using a separate power supply. When switching the pedal on, only operation or gain-related switching and control noises should be audible, no hum and no high-pitched noise. This test is an effective way to check the pedal independently of the rest of the signal chain.
